this week i attended read/write club hosted by antena books, a literary experimentation lab created by John Pluecker. Pluecker is a writer and translator based in houston. his pop up bookstore and writing lab is a novel approach and so are the weekly meetings that engage the community to informally pop in, read works by poets and writers, discuss, write work based on the discussions and share. essentially the neighborhood is invited to create new work collectively, and you don’t have to be a practicing artist to do so. word.
there are three read/write meetings left, held wednesdays from 6-9 pm at antena books ~ libros antenta, located at project row houses:
june 6: The Event Factory by Renee Gladman
june 13: one by Jen Hofer
june 20: sexoPUROsexoVELOZ and Septiembre by Dolores Dorantes
